Bridgton is centrally located with many restaurants, drive-in and sit-down movie theaters, antique stores and shops close by. A 30 minute drive to North Conway or Sunday River, a 5 minute trip to Shawnee Peak, make this is the perfect location to enjoy swimming, hiking, fishing, shopping or just relaxing.
Downtown Bridgton is a short walk. It has a great bookstore, several antique stores, artist guild, library, cigar lounge, Reny’s Department Store, The Corn Shop as well as the Magic Lantern Theatre with 3 screens showing the latest movies. The Tannery Pub in the theatre complex is a great bar for watching sporting events on a giant screen. Hannaford Grocery Store on Rt. 302 is your best bet for food shopping. The gas station down the street is fine for convenience items including beer. J Decor across from the William Perry House at the corner of Highland Rd and Main St has a great selection of wines at all price ranges. Pondicherry Park, located behind the Tannery Pub contains over 60 acres of trails and natural beauty including the Bob Dunning Memorial Bridge, a very cool entrance.
